Super Abrasives was set up by a technocrat who is a specialist in the field of vitrified abrasives. The urge to start a unit for the manufacture of very specialized vitrified bonded abrasives emerged from his vast experience and exposure in the R&D of Carborundum Universal Ltd., where he had indigenously developed a number of products, also keeping in view the ever increasing demand for quality based specialized vitrified abrasives, from various sectors of the industry.

Production commenced in 1982 and during the last 10 years the company has established itself with a growing reputation for consistent quality and excellent service, backed by a team of expert technologists, mainly in special vitrified abrasives, honing and superfinishing stones.
